While the hard drive might not have the same feisty 10000 RPM spin speed as per Western Digital’s VelociRaptor performance HDD series, the company’s other performance-oriented HDD series – the WD Black – offers more disk space and with the newly announced model, the series now has even more storage to offer to users.
Previously available with up to 2TB of disk space, the new WD Black now available with up to twice the storage at 4TB. With a spin speed on 7200 RPM, other highlights of the new WD Black 4TB HDD include 64MB cache, SATA 6Gbps interface and dual processor for faster processing speed. The WD Black HDD is also equipped with WD’s own technologies such as NoTouch Ramp Load and StableTrac to further maximize its performance and drive protection.
Covered by 5-years limited warranty, the new WD Black 4TB HDD is readily available in the market with a price tag of RM 999.
