In conjunction with the 69th National Day, BYD Malaysia announced that it is introducing a limited number of the 2026 BYD ATTO 3 Performance in the country. Specifically, there will only be 69 of these EVs. These come three months after the Ultra and Premium models were launched, with the company saying that this “completes the 2026 BYD ATTO 3 line-up in Malaysia”. With such a limited number, though, that line-up is pretty unlikely to stay complete for very long.
Befitting the Performance name, this version of the ATTO 3 outputs 330 kW and 560 Nm, and a century sprint time of 4 seconds, overshadowing the Premium model. It shares the same 74.88 kWh battery rating and DC charging rate of 220 kW. Naturally, with a boost in performance, you’d expect a slight drop in maximum range. That also applies to the ATTO 3 Performance, as its NEDC range is rated at 530km, compared to the 600km of the Premium model.

Beyond raw performance figures, the Atto 3 Performance also gets some interior improvements. One is what the company calls a Windscreen Head-Up Display (W-HUD), which makes intuitive sense. The other though is a built-in refrigerator that also has heating functions, for some reason. For safety features, the company said that it carries the same list as that on the Premium model.

The 2026 BYD ATTO 3 Performance has an asking price of RM149,800. With the EV already being in limited quantities, all buyers of the variant will enjoy what the brand calls “an exclusive, value-added package designed to elevate their ownership experience”. This translates to two available options. One has a wall charger plus its installation, as well as RM6,000 in overtrade support. The other option, for when the wall charger doesn’t make sense, is a six-year standard service package plus RM5,000 in overtrade support. Beyond those, there’s the standard six-year or 150,000km vehicle warranty, plus eight-year or 160,000km battery and EV drive unit warranty.
