AEON Bank debit card users are now able to add their card to Google Wallet on Android devices. Support for the Alphabet-owned service is the latest in a long line of support for digital banking apps, including DuitNow QR and JomPAY, to name a few.
“Google Pay marks the latest addition to AEON Bank’s growing digital banking capabilities, and together with other robust features on its digital banking app, such as Neko Sensei, Neko Missions, AEON Bank Visa Debit Card-i, Savings Pot, DuitNow QR, JomPAY, Zakat and Takaful, it reflects the Bank’s continued commitment to provide seamless solutions that complement the evolving needs and lifestyles of its customers.”
The process of adding your AEON Bank Visa debit card to your Google Pay app isn’t any different from other cards. Simply bring up the Google Wallet app, choose the option to add a new card, provide your card details, authorise the addition of the card to Google Wallet via the AEON Bank app, and you’re done.
In conjunction with the ability to support Google Pay on Android, AEON Bank is also introducing a cashback campaign to encourage customers to use their new payment option. Starting 28 August till 30 September this year, customers can enjoy up to 3% cashback on eligible purchases of up to RM30 per customer, with the cashback being credited back upon settlement. Naturally, terms and conditions apply.
On a related note, the digital financial service is still hosting a Merdeka Bonus campaign. The campaign, which began on 17 August, will expire on 27 September and offers customers the opportunity to earn rewards through DuitNow QR transactions, with one of the rewards being an RM31 cash reward for 69 weekly lucky winners, which will be credited directly to their AEON Bank Savings Account-i.
