Alongside the local debut of the X300 Series yesterday, vivo also announced that its Vision MR Headset will be available for demonstration in Malaysia. According to the brand, those interested can book their sessions from now until 28 February 2026, which will be offered through vivo Experience Stores in Pavilion Kuala Lumpur, Mid Valley Mega Mall Kuala Lumpur, and Queensbay Mall Penang.

In case you missed it, the vivo Vision MR was first introduced in China back in August, and is touted to be its answer to Apple’s own Vision Pro headset. Like its rival, it offers a compact design, both virtual and passthrough capabilities, as well as hand gestures and eye tracking support.

It features two 8K Micro-OLED binocular screens with 3840 x 3552 px resolution each, a Snapdragon XR2+ Gen 2 chipset, OriginOS Vision operating system. The headset is able to last  about 2.5 hours via a proprietary battery pack, but can also be connected to a power bank or wall plug via a USB-C cable if you wish to extend its usage time.

To book a session, you can scan the QR code from the image above or by clicking this link. You can then select one of the three locations mentioned above during registration for the trail. Despite offering consumers the chance to test the device for themselves, it is still unclear whether vivo has any plans to actually release the Vision MR in Malaysia.

On a related note, we had the chance to try the headset during our visit to Shanghai for the vivo X300 Series’ Chinese launch. Check out our hands-on article for our initial impressions of the device and a closer look at what it offers.
