realme Malaysia has confirmed that its latest flagship smartphone, the realme GT 8 Pro, will officially launch in the country on 24 November 2025. The company also announced that an early bird pre-order campaign has begun, offering exclusive rewards for customers who secure their units ahead of the launch.
While local specifications have yet to be revealed, the Malaysian variant is expected to share much of the same hardware as the Chinese model. The realme GT 8 Pro features a 6.79-inch 2K AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 7,000 nits. It also carries IP66, IP68, and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance.

Powering the new flagship is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, paired with realme’s in-house Hyper Vision+ AI chip. The device runs Android 16-based realme UI 7.0 and packs a massive 7,000mAh battery that supports 120W wired and 50W wireless fast charging.
Co-developed with Ricoh, the GT 8 Pro’s rear camera setup includes a 50MP 1/1.56-inch primary sensor, a 200MP periscope telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom, and a 50MP ultrawide lens. On the front, a 32MP selfie camera handles portraits and video calls.

The phone’s camera island also features a removable decorative ring, allowing users to personalise the design. realme has introduced three official options, though users can 3D print their own designs for further customisation. realme offers the GT 8 Pro in Diary White and Urban Blue, while a green Aston Martin-themed Dream Edition is also available.

Pre-orders for the realme GT 8 Pro Series, which includes the standard GT 8 Pro and the GT 8 Pro Dream Edition, are open from 12 to 28 November. realme has yet to confirm the local pricing for either version.

realme adds that early bird customers who place a RM50 deposit at participating realme Brand Stores will receive free gifts worth RM1,197, including a RM200 rebate, realme Watch 5, Detachable Camera Decoration Protective Cover Set (for the standard GT 8 Pro), a PWP offer for realme Buds Clip, and a one-year extended warranty.
