The Honda Supe-ONE Prototype, which made its debut at the recent Japan Mobility Show 2025, has been spotted on Malaysian roads. The sighting was first shared by Jon Koh, who reportedly submitted the photo to Paultan.org.
The fully electric kei car was seen wearing camouflage, but its distinctive round headlights and square taillights made it easily recognisable. Interestingly, it also bore a Melaka-registered number plate, suggesting the possibility of a local debut, though it could also be undergoing environmental testing by Honda.
Regardless, the sighting could spark excitement among Malaysians, many of whom have a long-standing affection for compact city cars – Perodua, as a chief example, has long been the producer and manufacturer of the Kancil and Kelisa models.
According to Honda, the Super E-One was developed based on the Super EV Concept, which participated in the iconic Goodwood Festival of Speed 2025 hill climb event. Adding to the exterior design are the stylish front and rear bumpers and air intakes in the front fascia.
Inside, the compact EV features sporty seats and a minimalist cabin, furnished with an infotainment system and digital instrument cluster that includes a triple-gauge display dedicated to the car’s “Boost Mode.”
Honda says that Boost Mode increases the output of the EV while also enhancing performance by synchronising a simulated 7-speed transmission, recreating the shifting sensation of a traditional gearbox. Adding to the illusion, an Active Sound Control system allows the Super-ONE to virtually generate the relevant engine noises within the cabin.

The Honda Super E-One is expected to debut in Japan in 2026, followed by launches in the UK and select Asian markets.
