realme is once again releasing its C71 smartphone to the Malaysian market, this time with a new 8GB+256GB configuration. The original version of the device made its way to the country earlier this year, sporting 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.
Other than that, not much has changed with the device. To refresh your memory, the device features a 6.72-inch 720×1604 LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 725 nits. Its 7.79mm body still contains a 3.5mm headphone jack, an SD card slot, and a fingerprint scanner on the side. The company boasts that the device features military-grade shock resistance, allowing it to survive 1.5 meter drops.

The C71 features a Unisoc T7250 chipset along with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The device uses a 6,300mAh battery that supports 45W fast charging via USB-C and 6W reverse wireless charging. On the software side of things, the C71 runs on realme UI 6.0 based on Android 16. As for connectivity, it supports 4G, Wi-Fi 5, and Bluetooth 5.2.
Imaging-wise, the device pairs its 50MP AI main camera at the back with an LED light ring which the company calls it the Pulse Light. On the flipside, the handset has a 5MP selfie shooter within a hole-punch cutout.

The realme C71 with the new 8GB+256GB configuration goes on sale from 7 November onwards for RM599. Despite this new version, there are still only two colour options, which are White Swan and Forest Owl. It is worth mentioning that customers can still purchase the previous 6GB+128GB configuration for RM499 if they so choose.
