There have been prior reports of the Samsung Galaxy S26 series’ launch potentially being delayed a bit. This, in turn, was blamed on delays on the production of the base and plus models. Said report points to the Galaxy Unpacked event that would unveil these phones happening in March. But a more recent report claims otherwise, and also claims to know the exact date of the event.
This comes via South Korean news site Money Today, citing sources that claim it is happening on 25 February. The report also claims the Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event that will launch the S26 series will happen in San Francisco. The location was chosen on account of it being “a centre of AI”, according to machine translation.

That being said, the report also notes that this is still a later than usual schedule for the Galaxy Unpacked. Corroborating the prior report, this one cites industry analysts as claiming the delay is caused by the lineup shakeup. In case you missed it, this is referring to the Pro model going back to being the base model. The Edge model being swapped out for the Plus model’s return is also a part of the reasoning.
Also worth noting is that the report claims all variants of the Samsung Galaxy S26 will be sporting the Exynos 2600 chipset. This presents another contradiction to prior reporting, which claims that some markets will be getting the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 instead. Things are a bit less certain for the Ultra model, which was claimed to be getting the Qualcomm flagship chip regardless of market.
