Malaysia Airlines has announced that it will be rolling out some updates to its Enrich travel and lifestyle loyalty programme. Starting from 1 January 2026, members will see changes to how they earn Enrich Points and Elite Points. Aside from that, the airline will be raising the requirements for Elite Status.
Starting with the revised Enrich Points earnings, the programme will reward frequent flyers with more points per RM1 spent on Malaysia Airlines and Firefly flights. Platinum members will gain 2.5 points, while Gold members will earn 2.2 points. Finally, Silver members will be able to earn 1.8 points.
Furthermore, Enrich will be awarding more Elite Points to members flying with Malaysia Airlines, Firefly, as well as Oneworld partner airlines. Of course, this change applies to flights that cover more than 500 miles, with Business Class and Business Suite offering more points. It is also worth noting that for Oneworld partner flights, Premium Economy is considered as Economy. Meanwhile, First Class is treated as Business Suite.
The updates promise “smoother progression to higher status”, but there is a catch. As mentioned earlier, Enrich will increase the amount of Elite Points needed to maintain or upgrade to Elite Status. For the Platinum tier, members will need to accumulate 140 points. The Gold and Silver tiers will require 70 and 35 points respectively.

Moreover, the programme outlines additional ways for frequent flyers to earn Elite Points. These include redeeming flights with Enrich Points and cash, booking seat upgrades, and making reservations with Enrich Hotels. Additionally, those with AmBank Enrich Visa Credit Cards can enjoy a 30% reduction in Elite Points requirements to maintain or upgrade their Elite Status.

Finally, Enrich will be offering more perks to Elite members. More specifically, the Silver tier will include 10kg extra baggage allowance, as well as priority baggage handling.
