Fujifilm has officially launched the X-T30 III, the third iteration of its compact mirrorless camera line-up. Designed for street photography, it features upgraded speed, autofocus and usability, while keeping its lightweight build and approachable design.

Weighing just 378 grams, it offers a similar build and design as its predecessors. One of the most notable changes is the inclusion of a dedicated film simulation dial, replacing the previous mode dial. Borrowed from newer models like the X-M5 and X-T50, the dial lets users switch between Fujifilm’s signature colour profiles such as Reala Ace, ACROS, and Nostalgic Neg.

Fujifilm has also added an Auto Mode Selector Lever for quickly toggling between colour styles, a Portrait Enhancer function for improved skin tones, and compatibility with the Fujifilm XApp and Instax Link printers for direct photo printing. Additionally, the X-T30 III’s rear screen tilts for flexible shooting angles, though it does not fully articulate.

Despite retaining the same 26.1MP X-Trans CMOS sensor as its predecessor, the new model introduces Fujifilm’s latest image processor, which doubles image processing speed and enhances overall responsiveness. The brand has also significantly improved autofocus performance and added new AI-powered subject detection modes.Meanwhile, burst shooting speeds remain at 8fps with the mechanical shutter or 20fps in electronic mode, but users can expect a higher hit rate thanks to faster and more accurate AF.

On the video front, the X-T30 III is capable of recording 6.2K 30fps using the full width of the sensor or 4K 60fps with a slight 1.18x crop. The camera also supports 10-bit recording for better colour depth and dynamic range, along with a new 9:16 vertical video mode aimed at social media creators. However, the camera still lacks in-body image stabilisation and relies on lens-based or digital stabilisation for video work.

The camera offers a micro-HDMI port that supports RAW video output and a 2.5mm microphone input for connectivity, while a single UHS-I SD card slot manages storage. As for battery life, Fujifilm says the camera is capable of up to 425 shots per charge.

Fujifilm will release the new X-T30 III globally in November 2025 in Black, Charcoal Silver, and Silver colours. In Malaysia, the camera costs RM4,248 for the body only or RM4,898 with the XC13-33mm F3.5-6.3 OIS kit lens.
