During the Galaxy Event October 2025 livestream, Samsung officially launched the Galaxy XR, an MR headset that was previously called Project Moohan. However, before the stream came to an end, Jay Kim, Samsung’s head of customer experience, shared that the company is working alongside Warby Parker and Gentle Monster to create AI-powered smart glasses.

As per Engadget’s report, the company will perhaps be focusing on two different markets with the aforementioned brands. The publication predicts that Gentle Monster and its “fashion-forward” eyewear will be geared towards a higher-end market, while Warby Parker will have more emphasis on the general consumers.

Kim mentioned that the South Korean tech giant is currently collaborating with Google to give these glasses “cutting-edge” AI features. Furthermore, the Samsung representative said that these AI glasses will bring “style, comfort, and practicality” to daily life thanks to Android’s XR ecosystem.

Google also collaborated with Warby Parker and Gentle Monster to create its own XR devices back in May. Engadget believes that these Samsung glasses will be similar to that, featuring a Gemini-powered display. In the publication’s report, this display can show notifications and brief information from your apps, like music playback and turn-by-turn GPS directions.

Unfortunately, neither Samsung nor any of the eyewear brands revealed any images of the upcoming smart glasses, let alone a release date. However, what we do know is that these glasses should have a built-in camera, speakers, and a microphone.
