It has been a while since OnePlus teased its upcoming flagship device, the OnePlus 15. Now, the company has officially announced on Weibo that the device will launch in China on 27 October at 7PM local time. Though the design has been revealed for some time now, it does share a striking resemblance to the newly launched OPPO Find X9.
However, the brand isn’t just releasing one device; OnePlus intends to launch the OnePlus Ace 6 alongside the flagship phone at the mentioned date. Unfortunately, not much is known about the device at the time of writing, but perhaps more detail will be shared in the coming days.
As a refresher, the OnePlus 15 is said to have a 6.82-inch display with a 165Hz refresh rate. The device allegedly measures in at 8.1mm thick and weighs around 211 to 215 grams, depending on the colour. The body itself will feature a “nano-ceramic metal” that is said to be “134% harder than titanium”.
Under the hood, the brand confirmed that it will ship with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 globally. According to reports, the OnePlus 15 is also equipped with a 7,300mAh battery that can support up to 120W wired and 50W wireless charging.
On the imaging end of things, the device is reported to have a 1/1.5-inch 50MP main camera with a Sony LYT-700 sensor. Joining alongside it will be a 50MP 1/2.76-inch periscope telephoto camera and another 50MP lens with an unspecified aperture; both lenses feature Samsung’s JN5 sensor.
According to GSMArena, you can now pre-order the OnePlus 15 in China today through OPPO’s official store (yes, OPPO). It is also worth mentioning that no official price has been listed yet.
Currently, it is available in three different colours: “Sand Dune”, “Absolute Black”, and “Mist Purple”. Unfortunately, the company has yet to officially announce when the global launch will take place. So, for now, we have to make do with the previously speculated date of 13 November.
