Fujifilm recently launched a new hybrid instant camera. Dubbed the instax mini LiPlay+, it serves as an update to the mini LiPlay launched back in 2019. Naturally, it gets some new features, including an extra camera meant for taking selfies.
Design-wise, the compact camera sports a boxy and textured body, with two colour options including Sand Beige and Midnight Blue. A lens ring houses the main camera, which is a 1/5-inch CMOS sensor with a 28mm equivalent focal length and f/2 aperture.

Meanwhile, the accompanying wide-angle selfie shooter sits above the 3-inch LCD monitor. This camera offers a 23mm focal length with an f/2.2 aperture. Aside from allowing the user to take selfies, the mini LiPlay+ can combine content from both snappers into a single image with the layered photo mode.
With the dedicated instax mini LiPlay app, the user can also add short audio clips to the images. The sound can be recorded on a smartphone or extracted from video data. The print will include a QR code, which the user can scan with their smartphone to view the finished creation.

Alongside the new camera, Fujifilm has also introduced two other items. The first of these is a camera case in matching hues for the instax mini LiPlay+. The second is the Soft Glitter instant film, which features gold accents and soft tones.

The new products will be available starting from the end of this month. However, the company has yet to reveal details on local pricing.
