It’s a busy month for smartphone makers in China, with many devices launching over the coming days and weeks. Among them is the HONOR Magic8 series, which comprises a vanilla version and a Pro model. Ahead of the lineup’s official debut, a recent leak has revealed some key details on the Pro variant.
According to prominent leakster Digital Chat Station, the device will feature a 6.71-inch quad-curved display with a 1.5K resolution. Aside from that, the phone will reportedly sport a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, as well as 3D face recognition capabilities.

Other details shared by the leakster include information on the battery. The phone will be powered by a massive 7,200mAh battery with support for 120W wired fast charging. It is worth noting that the figure for the capacity is accurate, as the brand itself has confirmed it in a Weibo post.
Meanwhile, its imaging system will consist of a triple setup: two 50MP sensors and a 200MP telephoto camera. The 50MP main shooter will feature an f/1.6 aperture and a 23mm lens.

Beyond that, the phone will pack a Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. One of the models has also been spotted on Geekbench, revealing a Qualcomm SM8850 chipset paired with 16GB of RAM. The listing also showed the device running Android 16, although this should come as no surprise.
The HONOR Magic8 Pro will be debuting in the company’s home market alongside the base model on 15 October. For now, the brand has not revealed when it will release the phone globally.
