vivo previously confirmed that it would be unveiling its new X300 series on 13 October. As promised, the company has officially launched the series, consisting of a base and Pro. And with that, the company has revealed all that has yet to leak about the devices.
Starting with the base model vivo X300, this comes with 6.31-inch 2,640 x 1,216 display. It has a 120 Hz refresh rate, and also supports HDR10+. It packs a 6,040 mAh battery which supports 90W wired and 40W wireless charging.
For imaging, the vivo X300 has a 200MP main + 50MP telephoto + 50MP wide-angle combo at the back. In front, it has another 50MP shooter, which happens to be identical to the wide-angle camera at the back.
Moving on to the vivo X300 Pro, this instead has a larger 6.78-inch 2,800 x 1,260 screen. Beyond that, it shares the same refresh rate and HDR10+ support. Similarly, the battery is slightly larger at 6,510 mAh, but it otherwise has the same charging rates.
Imaging is where the things get a little strange. The vivo X300 Pro uses the same wide angle shooters in front and the back. But here the 200MP unit is instead the telephoto shooter, with the 50MP being the main camera instead.
Worth noting also is that the vivo X300 Pro comes with an additional button on the left side. To describe it as simply as possible, it’s the brand’s take of the Action button that Apple has put on its recent iPhones. It also gets Bluetooth 6 where the base model is equipped with Bluetooth 5.4.
On the things they have in common, both run Android 16, with the new OriginOS 6 overlay. They also sport a stereo speaker setup, and an IP69 rating.
The vivo X300 comes in configurations ranging from 12GB + 256GB to 16GB + 1TB configurations. These are priced from CNY4,399 to CNY5,799. As for the Pro model, this comes configs ranging from 12GB + 256GB to 16GB + 1TB, priced from CNY5,299 to CNY6,699. Then there’s the Satellite edition which only comes in its top config, costing CNY8,299.
There’s also the key accessory kit for the vivo X300 series. This consists of a custom case, a grip on one end, and the telephoto extender on the other. The kit costs CNY1,299, but there’s the option to also get it with a strap for CNY1,499. Or, you could get the strap but do without the telephoto extender instead for CNY699.
Pre-orders are now open, with availability starting 17 October. No word on local details just yet. Judging from prior models though, it may take a month or two before they make their way here. It’s pretty likely that available configurations will be trimmed as well.
