OpenAI just recently introduced ChatGPT Go in Malaysia for RM38.99 a month. Around the same time, internet search giant Google announced something similar. This comes in the form of the AI Plus plan, to complement the much pricier Pro and Ultra plans. It’s not only a lot more affordable, but also more comparable to what OpenAI introduced.
But focusing on the Google AI Plus, this costs RM23.99 a month. And for that, you’re getting higher limits than using just about everything Gemini compared to free users. This ranges from Nano Banana image generation and editing to more responses to prompts from Gemini 2.5 Pro.

Naturally, paying also unlocks access to more advanced features, including the Veo 3 video generator in Gemini, Whisk and Flow. You also get Gemini integration in Gmail, Docs, Sheets and more for your productivity needs. And finally, you get 200GB of storage across Photos, Drive and Gmail. There are still a fair few features locked behind the pricier plans, but unless you do heavy coding and research, you should be fine without them.
As as added bonus, Google says that you can share the benefits of the AI Plus plan to five family members. This does mean sharing the 200GB of storage, as well as the available pool of AI credits. You can find out more by hitting the links below. Though worth noting that, at least at the time of writing, the English site for Malaysia has not been updated to show the new plan.
