Alleged images of the Huawei Mate 80 Pro have surfaced online. The images in question showcase the phone having a prominent circular camera island that contains three camera modules, which is reminiscent of last generation’s Mate 70.
These photos, which only displayed the device’s rear panels, came from a Weibo tipster. According to Gizmochina, these pictures are claimed to be the Pro version of the lineup, but there is no evidence that lends credence to the publication’s claim.

As mentioned earlier, the rear camera island shares a similar design to the Huawei Mate 70’s, barring a few changes. The module houses a triple-camera arrangement and is sandwiched between two LED strips. The cameras have been arranged to form a triangular pattern, Gizmochina theorises that the topmost lens belongs to the periscope telephoto shooter, while the bottom are for the primary and ultrawide lenses.
In terms of the design, the images showcase the alleged device sporting a yellow, black, and white colourway. The publication also reported that the Huawei Mate 80 series will include the base Mate 80, Mate 80 Pro, Mate 80 Pro+, and perhaps even the Mate 80 RS edition.

For internal specs, GSMArena reported that it might come with up to 100W fast charging support and a new Kirin SoC. It is worth noting that the publication also reported that one of these phone variants may have a built-in cooling fan.
GSMArena did report that the smartphone series has recently been certified for sale in its home country and that we might see these phones hit shelves there soon. However, until any information has been officially confirmed, it’s best to take these details with a grain of salt.
