OnePlus is preparing to unveil its latest flagship phone in China soon. Of course, the brand will be releasing the OnePlus 15 globally as well, with the device running OxygenOS 16 right out the box. While there is no confirmed launch date for the smartphone itself, the company has revealed when it will be debuting its next generation Android skin.
In an X post, the company announced that it is launching OxygenOS 16 next week. Or more specifically, the Android 16-based software will be revealed on 16 October 2025. The post does not offer any details on what the upgrade will offer, but the embedded image includes an “Intelligently Yours” tagline, along with the mention of AI. So, we can probably expect upgrades in that area.

Aside from that, the company has previously teased deeper integration with Google’s Gemini AI as one of the highlights. Gemini will have access to Mind Space, a first-party app introduced with the OnePlus 13s. This should let the AI assistant plan and manage events based on the contents of Mind Space.
For now, it is unclear what other features will be included in OxygenOS 16. Furthermore, the company has yet to confirm which devices will be eligible for the update. That said, the list should include the brand’s flagships from the OnePlus 11 to the OnePlus 13.
