realme has been highlighting the swappable camera island as a distinctive feature of the upcoming GT 8 Pro. But while the company has yet to disclose much about the cameras themselves, a recent leak serves to shed some light on them.
According to an X post by @Gadgetsdata, the smartphone will pack a triple camera setup. This includes a 50MP 1/1.4-inch Sony LYT-808 main sensor with OIS. Beyond that, it will reportedly include a 50MP ultrawide camera, likely a Samsung ISOCELL JN5. The periscope telephoto lens is apparently a 200MP 1/1.56-inch unit with telemacro capabilities.

As for the device’s other specifications, it will reportedly sport a 6.78-inch QHD OLED screen with a refresh rate of 144Hz. This display is likely a 10-bit flat LTPO panel by BOE. Aside from that, the phone will reportedly feature an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, as well as improved speakers and haptics. Rounding things off is an IP69 rating.
Under the hood, the realme GT 8 Pro has been confirmed to be equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor. The phone is also said to come with up to 16GB of RAM. Additionally, it will allegedly pack a 7,000mAh battery with 120W charging. It should also run Android 16 via realme UI 7 out of the box.
As with any other leak, the veracity of this information is still up in the air. The realme GT 8 Pro is set to launch along with the base model in China sometime this month. For now, the brand has yet to disclose a date for a local launch despite confirming that the phone is indeed making its way here.
