The DJI Osmo Mobile 7 and 7P made their debut fairly recently, releasing back in February this year. But, it seems a refresh is already in the works. While the brand has yet to disclose details on the lineup, a premature listing on the US Amazon website indicates that the Osmo Mobile 8 is well on its way.
Initially spotted by The New Camera, the listing uses an image of an Osmo Mobile 4 as a placeholder. Aside from that, it features no further information. According to the publication, details like stock status were removed just hours after the listing was seen. Either way, the presence of this listing suggests that third party sellers are anticipating a launch pretty soon.
For now, details on the Osmo Mobile 8 remain scarce. However, DJI is expected to launch a Pro model alongside the regular version, likely with the 8P name. Aside from that, the lineup is said to introduce a few upgrades, namely enhanced 3-axis stabilisation with enhanced motor torque. Additionally, it could feature LiDAR, up to 12 hours of battery life, as well as DJI Mic series compatibility, and ActiveTrack 8.0 support.
As for when DJI will officially announce the Osmo Mobile 8, rumours suggest that the gimbals may debut in November 2025. The New Camera expects the regular Osmo Mobile 8 to cost somewhere between US$99 (~RM417) and US$199 (~RM838). Meanwhile, the price for the Pro model is expected to range from US$159 (~RM669) to US$179 (~RM754).
