Xpeng has launched the facelifted G6 in Malaysia, following its announcement last week. As reported before, the all-electric (EV) crossover SUV comes in three variants: RWD Long Range Pro, AWD Performance, and AWD Black Edition.
Design-wise, the Xpeng G6 remains true to its ‘Starship-Inspired’ exterior with a fastback silhouette, a full-width LED daytime running light (DRL) and a blacked-out trapezoidal lower grille. The headlights are placed below the DRL, integrated into the air vents.
The rear of the SUV features a redesigned bumper that is complemented by thin strips of taillights and a roof spoiler. Other exterior features include 20-inch wheels, a heated front windscreen, hidden door handles and rain-sensing automatic wipers.
The interior of the vehicle comes with a 15.6-inch floating infotainment screen alongside a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster. The cabin is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset across all variants and supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Furthermore, according to the company, the cabin is fully voice-controlled and equipped with over-the-air (OTA) software updates.

Comfort is further enhanced with Nappa leather seats, massage and ventilation functions for the front seats, and a panoramic glass roof with a sunshade and heat insulation layer. Other features include the Xpeng Xopera sound system, which comes with 16 speakers and surround sound.
In terms of performance, the RWD Long Range Pro has a single motor with an output of 218 kW and 440 Nm of torque. Meanwhile, the AWD Performance has a dual motor setup, with the second motor providing an extra 140 kW and 220 Nm of torque.

Therefore, the total output of the AWD variant comes to 358 kW and 660 Nm. The RWD completes the century sprint in 6.7 seconds, while the AWD takes only 4.13 seconds. The top speed is 202 km/h across all variants of the new Xpeng G6.
All variants are also powered by an 80.8 kWh LFP battery. However, the RWD offers a WLTP range of 525 km, while the AWD offers 510 km. In terms of charging, it takes just 12 minutes to replenish the SUV from 10% to 80% with a 451 kW DC charger. The SUV also supports 11 kW AC charging. The G6 comes with six driving modes: Eco, Comfort, Sport, Individual, Launch and Escape.
Safety-wise, the facelifted Xpeng G6 is equipped with seven airbags at the front and side of the vehicle. It also comes with XPILOT Assist for driving, parking and safety, which includes features such as adaptive cruise control, enhanced auto parking assist (EAP 2.0) and forward and rear collision prevention.
The RWD Xpeng G6 costs RM178,888 in Malaysia, while the AWD has a price tag of RM189,888. The AWD Black Edition, which is similar to the AWD Performance in terms of specifications, costs RM193,888. The extra RM4,000 is for the Black shade.

The Xpeng G6 comes with a five-year/120,000-km manufacturer’s warranty, while the battery is covered for eight years /160,000 km. Bermaz Xpeng adds a five-year, 100,000-km free maintenance package with every purchase. For those who require an AC home charger, a 7-kW unit is available for RM4,300 or an 11-kW system for RM5,000 (both prices include installation).
