Dyson has recently introduced two new vacuum cleaners for the Malaysian market. These comprise the V16 Piston Animal and the PencilVac, with the latter claimed to be the slimmest currently available to consumers.
The Dyson V16 Piston Animal is powered by a Hyperdymium 900W motor that delivers up to 315 AW of suction. It features the latest Floor Cones Sense cleaner head with dual conical rollers designed to prevent hair tangles, while also adapting automatically to different floor types. An integrated light helps reveal fine dust particles. The model comes with a compressed 1.3L dustbin capable of holding up to 30 days of debris, which is paired with a “wipe clean” system for easy emptying.
Other features include a long wand, a crevice tool, and the updated Hair Screw Tool 2.0 for pet beds, cars, and stairs. A built-in LCD displays dust and debris levels in real time, while users can track data and adjust settings through the MyDyson app. Dyson says the vacuum offers up to 70 minutes of runtime per charge, with a recharge time of 3.5 hours
Meanwhile, the Dyson PencilVac is designed with portability and slimness in mind. Measuring just 38 mm in handle thickness, capable of flattening to 95 mm to reach under furniture, and weighing 1.8 kg, it is aimed at smaller living spaces and ease of storage. It runs on a Hyperdymium 140k motor that produces up to 55 AW suction power, capturing particles as small as 0.3 microns.

The PencilVac’s Fluffycones brush can de-tangle long hair, while its four cones are designed to clean edges more effectively. The 360-degree swivelling brush head, paired with an LED light, makes it easier to spot and reach dust. A dust compression system reduces the need for frequent emptying, and the battery provides up to 30 minutes of use before recharging on its magnetic dock. As with the V16, users can also customise settings through the MyDyson app.
Both the Dyson V16 Piston Animal and the PencilVac are available now in Malaysia. The former is priced at RM4,099, while the latter at RM2,799.
