It has been three decades since Sony launched the PlayStation in North America, Europe, and subsequent regions. To celebrate this milestone, the gaming company announced its sneaker collaboration with Reebok.
PlayStation proudly showed off not one but three special edition sneakers. According to the official blog, each variation is connected to one of PlayStation’s original launch regions. The InstaPump Fury 94 is meant to represent Japan, the Pump Omni Zone II is meant to be the U.S. and the Workout Plus is for the United Kingdom.
Naturally, being a PlayStation collaboration, the trio of shoes are given a PS1 colour palette as a way to mark the occasion. Furthermore, each variant of the footwear comes in a limited edition packaging that “mirrors the console’s original launch design”. Additionally, the shoelace depicts three of the four iconic PS face buttons (the “X” has been replaced with the Reebok logo) and features a PS controller connector.
Reebok and PlayStation have not yet disclosed the trainers’ official price as of this writing. However, PlayStation has confirmed that all three will be launching this coming October.
To coincide with this, the company is also offering a photobook titled “PlayStation: The First 30 Years”, and it is available in Standard and Deluxe editions. This 400-page, hardback book is said to give “a glimpse into never-before-seen prototypes, concept sketches, and design models that shaped hardware development at Sony Interactive Entertainment”.
Pricing starts at £95 (~RM538) for the Standard Edition and £245 (~RM1,387) for the Deluxe Edition. As per the PlayStation Blog, the book will hit the shelves globally in Spring 2026, but you can pre-order a personal copy at Read-Only Memory as early as today.
