As the official launch date for the OPPO Find X9 series draws closer, the smartphone brand has confirmed that the series will release globally with MediaTek’s Dimensity 9500 chipset. The brand has also confirmed that this SoC can be found in both the Find X9 and the Find X9 Pro.
According to OPPO, the chipset is “crafted with a revolutionary third-generation All-Big-Core architecture” that is meant to improve efficiency and performance. Moreover, the company claims that when combined with its Trinity Engine, the SoC can attain even higher performance at a reduced power consumption.

In an official press release, OPPO essentially repeats all the details mentioned in our coverage of the Dimensity 9500. But as a refresher, the SoC consists of a single Arm C1-Ultra core clocked at 4.21GHz, three C1-Premium cores, and four C1-Pro cores.
The design allows it to deliver a 32% higher single-core performance and 17% higher multi-core performance compared to the predecessor. Furthermore, the Arm G1-Ultra GPU delivers up to 33% improved graphics performance and up to 42% better power efficiency.

OPPO claims that these capabilities are further improved upon with a custom cooling system within the Find X9 Series. According to the brand, this allows the device to have “smooth and stable high-frame-rate gameplay, even under the most demanding graphical settings”
As mentioned earlier, the smartphone series will feature OPPO’s proprietary Trinity Engine and is said to be Android’s first Unified Computing Power Model. This allows the device to deliver “system-level full-scene computational modelling for the Dimensity 9500’s CPU, GPU, and DSU, achieving over 90% accuracy in power consumption prediction and substantially refining energy optimisation across diverse user scenarios, including everyday use, gaming, and imaging”, or so OPPO claims.

Unfortunately, OPPO did not mention any specific examples that use the combined power of the Dimensity 9500 SoC or the Trinity Engine, let alone separately. However, the company did confirm that we will hear more about the phone and the chipset at the upcoming global launch event on 16 October.
