The Xpeng G6 facelift was recently spotted at Glenmarie, hinting at its debut in the local market. The speculation seems to be true, as Xpeng Malaysia has announced the debut of the facelifted G6, which will be arriving in the local market on 1 October 2025.

Furthermore, the mid-size electric crossover SUV is now open for booking. According to its official website, the G6 will be offered in three variants: RWD Long Range Pro, AWD Performance and AWD Black Edition. As of now, this is the only information available on the SUV.

However, looking closer, it seems that the same variants are also offered when the G6 launched in Thailand. Taking that into reference, these are the specifications that can be expected in the local market for the vehicle in question.

In terms of design, the G6 SUV comes with a full-width LED strip and a blacked-out trapezoidal lower grille. The rear gets a redesigned bumper and ducktail spoiler. The look is completed with petal-style black alloy wheels. However, the AWD Black Edition gets another option of a Smoked Black finish for the wheels.

As for interior, we can expect the G6 to feature a 15.6-inch floating infotainment screen alongside a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster. Comfort is enhanced further with Nappa leather seats, massage and ventilation functions and a panoramic glass roof. The cabin is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset across all variants and supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Performance-wise, the RWD comes with a motor that has an output of 218 kW and 440 Nm of torque. Meanwhile, the AWD comes with a two-motor setup offering 350 kW and 575 Nm. The RWD completes the century sprint in 6.75 seconds, while the AWD only takes 4.13 seconds.

All three variants are powered by an 80.8 kWh LFP battery that offers 600 km of NDEC range for the RWD variant, while the AWD, although having the same battery, offers 575 km of NDEC range. All variants of the G6 can accept DC charging up to 451 kW and replenish the car from 10% to 80% in 12 minutes. As for AC charging, the SUV supports up to 11 kW to replenish from 5% to 100%.

As mentioned above, these are the specifications that can be expected for the G6 in the local market. The price of the Xpeng G6 has yet to be revealed and further information are expected during its upcoming launch. For your reference, the existing model has a starting price of RM168,000.
