Scam prevention app Whoscall has announced a global rebrand with a focus on people and community. Aside from sporting a new look and logo, the platform is introducing a rewards-based system to motivate users to take action against fraud.
This new rewards and missions system is slated for the fourth quarter of this year, although no specific date has been mentioned. This system lets users complete simple tasks such as reporting numbers and verifying suspicious activities. Once the tasks are completed, the user will receive points, which they can exchange for Whoscall Premium, partner rewards, or sponsored products.
Speaking of Whoscall Premium, the platform now offers two new subscription tiers. In addition to the existing Individual plan, the app now includes a Duo plan for two accounts, which is priced at RM15.90 a month, or RM149 a year. Aside from that, there is the Family plan that costs RM29.90 a month, or RM279 a year.
Aside from these new additions, the app is leveraging Gemini for AI-powered protection. This integration serves to better identify the tactics and patterns used by malicious actors, allowing for faster and more accurate verification and analysis. Alongside this revamp, Whoscall is introducing “Vee”, its scam-fighting companion.

As mentioned earlier, the rebrand includes an updated logo and a refreshed, more user-friendly interface. The app is available for download for both iOS and Android devices.
