Following the global launch of the Huawei Watch GT 6 and Watch Ultimate 2 in Paris yesterday, the brand has announced that it is bringing the wearables to our shores soon. More specifically, these smartwatches will be making their official debut here on 29 September 2025.
Starting with the Watch GT 6 lineup, this set of devices succeeds last year’s Watch GT 5 series. Like its predecessor, it comprises two variants, namely a vanilla version in 41mm and 46mm sizes, and a 46mm Pro model with a titanium alloy body and a sapphire glass screen.
The wearables feature an improved GPS for more accurate location tracking. Additionally, the brand has enhanced its TruSense system with multidimensional emotion detection and detailed health monitoring.
For fitness, the watches offer cycling virtual power, allowing cyclists to measure their riding intensity. The Watch GT 6 Pro is also equipped with modes for trail running, golf, freediving up to 40m, and skiing.
As for the Watch Ultimate 2, it is the sequel to the Watch Ultimate released back in 2023. The premium smartwatch retains the familiar look of the original, including the zirconium-based liquid metal body, ceramic bezels, and sapphire glass. However, it does come with some new features.
According to Huawei, it is the first smartwatch to be certified for diving up to 150m, with support for calls and music playback, as well as sonar-based underwater communication that can send signals to other divers within a 30m range. Additionally, it comes with an underwater SOS feature with a maximum range of 60m.
Furthermore, the watch improves on the preceding model by integrating the brand’s new X-TAP tech, which debuted with the Watch 5. Other features include an Expedition Mode with more than 17,000 global golf course maps, a trail running function, as well as an upgraded GPS. The wearable also packs safety features like Fall Detection, Emergency SOS, and High-Altitude Monitoring.
Ahead of the local launch of these devices, customers can pay an early deposit of RM50 to secure free gifts. For those ordering any of the Watch GT 6 models, they can get the Huawei FreeBuds 6i and three months of Huawei Health+.
As for the Watch Ultimate 2, customers will receive a Huawei FreeClip, two years of Huawei Care, and three months of Huawei Health+. As per usual, this can be done at the company’s physical stores, or online via its official website, and its stores on Shopee, Lazada, as well as TikTok Shop.
