realme announced that it will be launching the realme 15 series on 18 September. This is following the teaser of its key feature, the voice-controlled AI Edit Genie. As promised, the phones are now official, featuring the base model in a single configuration, and the Pro model with two.

Starting from the top then, the realme 15 has a 6.77 inch Full HD+ display with a 144hz refresh rate, and a 240 Hz touch sampling rate. Aiding outdoor usage is a peak brightness of 4,500 nits. Inside, it packs a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Plus chipset, 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. Powering the phone is a 7,000 mAh battery, with 80W charging.

On imaging, the phone packs a 50MP main and an 8MP wide-angle camera at the back, with a 50MP front-facing shooter. On the software side of things, it runs realme UI 6 over Android 15. The brand also promises three years of OS updates and four for security updates.

Moving on to the realme 15 Pro, the screen gets upsized slightly to 6.8 inches, with a 2,800 x 1,280 resolution to match. Peak brightness is now up to 6,500 nits, but refresh and sampling rates are shared with the base model. With such similar screen sizes, it can be difficult to tell the two apart. But the easiest way to tell is that the Pro model has a curved front and back, while the base model is flat.

Inside, it packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset, with a familiar 7,000 mAh battery and 80W charging. At the back, the realme 15 Pro uses a slightly different 50MP main camera. The wide-angle one, instead, has been bumped up to a 50MP unit. Similarly, the 50MP shooter in front is only very slightly different. As for software, it is completely identical to the base model.

As mentioned, the base model realme 15 has only one config, and therefore only one price of RM1,499. Colour options though are Silk Pink and Suit Titanium. For the Pro, you have a choice of 12GB + 256GB for RM1,799, or 12GB + 512GB for RM2,099. Colours here are Flowing Silver and Velvet Green. Pre-orders start today, lasting until 26, hinting at when it will be available on shelves.
