Nothing recently confirmed that it will be releasing the Ear (3) next week. Now, the brand has revealed the design of the upcoming TWS earbuds in its entirety. While the successor to the Ear retains the brand’s signature transparent look, there are a few notable changes.
For starters, Nothing has introduced metal elements to parts of the buds and charging case, which according to the company is for increased durability and a premium finish. The earbuds themselves have been redesigned for a more comfortable fit.
Additionally, Nothing revealed that it has slimmed down the earbuds’ metal antenna to just 0.35mm. Beyond that, the gaps between the components in the Ear (3) have been reduced to achieve an ultra-slim design. The brand also mentioned a “breakthrough Super Mic”, although it did not elaborate on that.
As for the charging case, it features 100% anodised recycled aluminium. There is also a “Talk” button on the front. While Nothing did not acknowledge the button’s presence, it’s possible that the button is for launching an AI assistant, likely ChatGPT.

The company did not reveal any more details on the earbuds, stating that the full specifications will be unveiled at launch. The Nothing Ear (3) will be making its official debut on 18 September at 1PM BST, or 8PM local time. Given the brand’s track record though, we can probably expect more teasers in the meantime.
