Huawei has released its second tri-fold smartphone in China. As the sequel to the original Mate XT, the Mate XTs retains the same S-shaped fold design while featuring some upgrades, notably in terms of processor and camera.
The Mate XTs sports a flexible 2,232 x 3,184 LTPO OLED display that measures 10.2 inches when completely unfolded, 7.9 inches when folded once, and 6.4 inches when folded twice. The screen has a 90Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 1,800 nits. Aside from that, the display comes with stylus support.
Under the hood, the tri-fold packs a Kirin 9020 chipset, paired with 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage. Powering the device is a 1.9mm thick 5,600mAh battery with 66W wired and 50W wireless charging. Additionally, it supports 7.5W wireless reverse charging. For software, it runs on HarmonyOS 5.1, which offers satellite connectivity in China.
Furthermore, the phone comes with multitasking capabilities, such as the Panoramic Multi-Window. This feature lets the device run three apps on the screen at the same time. Huawei has also introduced productivity apps like WPS Office, Wind Financial Terminal, and Oriental Wealth.

As for imaging, the Mate XTs is equipped with a 50MP main sensor with a OIS and a variable aperture of f/1.4 to f/4.0, a 12MP telephoto lens with 5.5x optical zoom, and a 40MP wide-angle camera. Meanwhile, the selfie shooter is an 8MP unit.
The Huawei Mate XTs comes in four colours: Black, Red, White, and Purple. Pricing for the foldable starts at CNY17,999 (~RM10,652) for the base 16GB+256GB variant. For now, the brand has not disclosed any details on a launch outside of its home market.
