The Infinix GT 30 Pro was released into the local market back in May of this year. So it may be a bit strange to hear that the base model is only coming soon. But that’s exactly what’s happening, as the brand says that the GT 30 will be launching next week.
As is usually the case for teasers, the company is keeping a lot of details under wraps still. In fact, the only item on the spec sheet that is being revealed now is its 144Hz refresh rate display. That being said, naming convention suggests that everything else will also be close, but don’t quite match up to, the available Pro model.

One exception to this is perhaps one that may be a feature new to the base model Infinix GT 30. This is what the company calls the GT Triggers, or the “industry’s first hidden shoulder triggers”. Which is a bold but strange claim to be sure. After all, capacitive triggers are the opposite of new in the realm of gaming phones. And most of them are not particularly intrusive. So it remains to be seen what exactly is “hidden” about them.
All that being said, based on its launch in India last month, the phone will have a 6.78-inch AMOLED display, a MediaTek Dimensity 7400 chipset, 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. Powering the device is a 5,500 mAh battery that supports 45W charging, And for imaging, it runs a 64MP main + 8MP wide angle camera pair at the back.

At any rate, the Infinix GT 30 is slated for launch on 11 September. The company may drop more teasers between now and then, but we’ll have to wait until then to get the full picture.
