Tecno will be adding to the ultra-slim smartphone market with the introduction of Spark Slim and Pova Slim. Both models are said to measure under 6mm in thickness and are slated to release simultaneously later this week. Unfortunately, despite days away from the official launch, many details about the two phones have yet to be revealed. What we do know is that both devices share a similar design and almost similar internal structure that they are almost identical.
Starting with the Tecno Pova Slim, the device is sporting a 5.95mm body and weighs in at about 156 grams. In order to achieve these numbers, the smartphone manufacturer had to employ its proprietary “Honeycomb” space stacking technology to maximise internal space efficiency. Despite these changes, it’s still sporting a curved AMOLED display that has a 144Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 4,500 nits. This is topped off by an IP64 water and dust resistance.

Under the hood, the Tecno Pova Slim is equipped with MediaTek’s Dimensity 6400 chipset and a 0.3mm thick vapour chamber. Unfortunately, neither the RAM nor the storage has been officially disclosed at the time of writing. Powering it will be a 4.04mm thick, 5,160 mAh battery that is capable of 45W wired and 10W reversed wired charging. As for software, it will be running the HiOS based on Android 15 and Tecno’s AI suite.
In terms of the camera, though there are seemingly two camera modules, only the 50MP main shooter has been disclosed so far. Besides the camera and a pill-shaped flash at the centre of it, the camera bump is also home to a Mood Light LED bar for multi-scene lighting effects and special animations for notifications. The front features a punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera with an undisclosed image resolution.

As mentioned earlier, the two phones are almost identical barring a few key differences. Comparatively, the Spark Slim is marginally slimmer, coming in at 5.93mm but weighing just the same. It also features a matching curved AMOLED display, refresh rate, and peak brightness. It also retains the same IP64 water and dust resistance.
Internally is where these differ ever so slightly. Rather than MediaTek, the Spark Slim has a Helio G200 chipset. Due to the fact it is not running the previously mentioned MediaTek chipset, this model is not 5G-capable. Aside from that, the battery, charging capabilities, OS, and even the camera array remain the same.

The specifications for both phones are expected to be released later this week alongside the two devices’ pricing and availability. Additionally, according to Gizbot, both handsets are slated to launch in India on 4 September.
