DJI has officially launched the DJI Mic 3, which is touted to be its most advanced mini wireless microphone to date. The new device brings expanded multi-device support, now accommodating up to four transmitters and eight receivers for smoother group recordings and multi-camera productions.
According to the company, the Mic 3’s transmitters now weigh just 16 grams. It is also offered with new windscreen colour options, giving creators the ability to better match the microphone to clothing or surroundings.

Newly added is adaptive gain control, a first for the series, which helps prevent clipping while balancing audio levels in real time. Users also get three voice tone presets (Regular, Rich, and Bright) aimed at enhancing interviews by adjusting to different vocal characteristics. For noise handling, the Mic 3 offers two-level noise cancellation, while dual-file 32-bit float internal recording with 32GB of onboard storage ensures a safety net against lost takes and distorted audio.

DJI says each transmitter lasts up to eight hours and the receiver up to 10 hours, with the bundled charging case providing 2.4 full charges. A quick five-minute top-up delivers two hours of use, while a full charge takes around 50 minutes. The charging case also accommodates two transmitters and one receiver without removing clips or windscreens, with room for cables and magnets.

Connectivity-wise, the Mic 3 features automatic pairing to DJI’s latest Osmo gear, as well as support for cameras and smartphones through 3.5mm ports, USB-C, or Bluetooth. The wireless range stretches up to 400 metres, backed by frequency hopping across 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands to maintain stable signals. It also comes with Quadraphonic mode, allowing four-track recording when paired with select Sony cameras or compatible software.

In Malaysia, the standard DJI Mic 3 set, which includes a single transmitter and one receiver is priced at RM879, while the dual transmitter and single receiver combo is going for RM1,549. Meanwhile, standalone Mic 3 transmitters are priced at RM469 and a single Mic 3 receiver retails at RM519. You can get them now via DJI’s official online store on Shopee.
