Photos of the Leapmotor B05 have surfaced on online platforms, revealing a closer look at the hatchback. The EV is expected to make its appearance at the Munich Auto Show this September before going on sale in November 2025.
The leak revealed the rear of the car, which seems to have similar design elements as its siblings, the B01 and B10. It features full-width taillights, a rear spoiler, and what looks like a diffuser. The car also appears to have large wheels, likely in the range of 19 to 21 inches. Details of the front are still a mystery for now.
The B-series from Leapmotor has been built on the advanced LEAP 3.5 architecture, and this could be the case for the hatchback as well. If so, it may offer a CLTC range of 650 km. Furthermore, the B10 SUV and B01 sedan come with two battery options, and we can also expect the same for the B05 hatchback.
Currently, Leapmotor offers the C10 SUV locally, which is priced at RM125,000. To recap, the SUV comes with an electric motor producing 160 kW and 320 Nm of torque. The motor is powered by a 69.9 kWh Lithium-Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery with a NEDC range of 477 km.

Meanwhile, automotive website Paultan.org suggests that Leapmotor will reveal two new cars in 2026. These new models may include the A10 SUV and A05 hatchback, which the automaker previously planned to release not only for Europe but also for the global market.
With Leapmotor being strongly backed by Stellantis, chances of the B-series and A-series marketed locally is very likely. Additionally, it was previously revealed that the automaker is set to produce CKD EVs in Malaysia by the end of 2025, starting with its Leapmotor C10 model.
