Rapid KL Launches MyTourist Pass Promotion For Merdeka Month

The pass can be purchased by both Malaysian and non-Malaysian citizenship.

In conjunction with the Merdeka month and as part of the “Rapid KL Denyut Nadi Merdeka” campaign, Rapid KL has announced a promotion for the MyTourist Pass. Currently ongoing since 22 August 2025, the promo offers reduced pricing, starting from only RM15 for a one-day pass.

MyTourist can be used across all Rapid KL services including LRT, MRT, the BRT Sunway Line, Rapid KL buses, MRT feeder buses and Rapid KL On-Demand services within the Klang Valley. Furthermore, it can also be used for unlimited travel for the period it is activated.

The pass can be bought for one day, two days and three days. The current price of the MyTourist Pass under the promotion is as follows:

Duration Malaysian Citizens Non-Malaysian Citizen
1 Day RM15 (previously RM20) RM35 (previously RM40)
2 Day RM20 (previously RM30) RM50 (previously RM60)
3 Day RM25 (previously RM40) RM65 (previously RM80)

MyTourist Pass holders will also get to enjoy extra benefits in the form of discounts with 40 strategic partners of Rapid KL. This is available for seven consecutive days from the date of purchase of the pass and can be used in shopping malls, restaurants and cafés, with total savings worth up to RM800.

“We understand that today’s customers want more than just travelling from point A to point B,” said Ashok Panchalingam, Prasarana’s Acting Head of Stakeholder Experience Management & Group Marketing. “We are confident that this promotion will encourage more people to use public transport while exploring exciting destinations in the city.”

The MyTourist Pass can be purchased at Rapid KL Customer Service Counters, via the MyRapid PULSE app, or online via the MyRapid Shop.
