Lenovo has apparently been uncharacteristically quiet at Gamescom 2025, with no sign of its upcoming Legion Go 2 gaming handheld in sight. On that note, it is possible that the brand launch the console at IFA 2025.
While is still just wild speculation, Lenovo is hosting its own Innovation World event on 5 September at Berlin, Germany. For the record, IFA 2025 officially kicks off on the same day, and will continue on until 9 September. In all honesty, the timing couldn’t be more coincidental but at the same time, the brand has said little about its own gaming handheld.

The Lenovo Legion Go 2 is slated to be the successor of the original Legion Go handheld, which launched back in 2023. In terms of hardware, it is expected to roll out with AMD’s current-gen Ryzen Z2 Extreme SoC, while still retaining the Nintendo Switch-inspired detachable controllers and full-body kickstand at the back. Beyond that little detail, little else is known about its internals.
If you recall, prototypes of the Legion Go 2 have already gone on sale, with one a TechTuber in China having managed to purchase one last month. According to them, the console was running on 32GB LPDDR5-7500, which is double that of the original Legion Go. Further, the display itself retained its size at 8.8-inches, but with a FHD+ resolution and OLED panel, courtesy of Samsung. Battery-wise, It housed a 74Wh battery, also another upgrade from the pitiful 49.2Wh battery of its predecessor.

This is all just speculation on our part, but once again, the timing of it all seems a bit to preordained to be coincidental. We’ll just have to wait until September to find out.
