Xiaomi has officially debuted the Redmi Note 15 series to the Chinese market. This includes the Redmi Note 15, Note 15 Pro, and Note 15 Pro+, featuring a larger battery, brighter display, and several more upgrades compared to the previous generation.

Based on the naming conventions alone, this is the direct follow-up to the Redmi Note 14, which debuted in Malaysia earlier this year. This year’s set of models features familiar design elements that we’ve seen before, specifically the four-module camera island at the back of the phone.

Starting off with the Pro+, it is sporting a 6.83-inch AMOLED display with a 1,280 x 2,772 px resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and a maximum brightness of 3,200 nits. For added protection, the panel has Xiaomi’s Dragon Crystal Glass and 12-bit colour depth. This is topped off by a stereo speaker and IP68 and IP69 dust and water protection.

Under the hood, the Redmi Note 15 Pro+ features a Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset with up to 16GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage and a 5,200mm² vapour chamber. It also has a 7,000mAh battery that is capable of handling 90W charging speeds and 22.5W reverse wired charging. Software-wise, the device is powered by Xiaomi’s in-house HyperOS 2 that is based on Android 15.

As for the camera, the Note 15 Pro+ brings a 50MP main module with OV Light Hunter 800, a 50MP 60mm portrait lens with 2.5x optical zoom and an 8MP ultrawide lens. On the flip side, the smartphone has a 32MP selfie camera capable of recording up to 1080p at 60FPS.

Moving on to the internals first, the Redmi Note 15 Pro features a Dimensity 7400 Ultra SoC with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage. It shares the same 7,000mAh battery and 22.5W reverse wired charge, but this model’s charging speed is capped at 45W.

There’s not much to discuss with the Pro externally, as it is identical with the Pro+. As for the camera, the Pro only has a 50MP (LYT-600) main shooter and an 8MP ultrawide, dropping the 50MP portrait lens with 2.5x zoom altogether.

The base Redmi Note 15, on the other hand,  is sporting a 6.77-inch OLED display with a Full HD+ (1080 x 2392 px) resolution that is capable of outputting a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 3,200 nits. The Redmi Note 15 also has an in-display fingerprint scanner, stereo speakers and an IP66 water and dust resistance rating.

Internally, it is rocking a Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 SoC and up to 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 2.2  storage. A 5,800mAh battery powers the device and can support 45W fast charging and 18W wired reverse charging. As for software, the device is running on the Android-15-based HyperOS 2. Other notable features include an infrared sensor, 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, and NFC.

Despite the previously mentioned “four-module” arrangement, the Note 15 is the only model to feature a dual-camera structure with a primary 50MP Light Fusion 400 Sensor with an f/1.8 aperture and a 2MP depth camera. The third module is the flash, while the fourth one is perhaps an undisclosed camera or a dummy module. At the front, the smartphone has an 8MP selfie camera within a punch-hole cutout.

The Redmi Note 15 will be available in three different colours, which are Midnight Black, Sky Blue, and Star White. On the other hand, both the Redmi Note 15 Pro have four colours, which are Midnight Black, Cedar White, Sky Blue, and Cloud Purple. The Redmi Note 15 Pro+ also has four colours, and they are also similar to the Pro barring the purple, which is named Smoky Purple.

Specifications for both phones are based on the spec sheet that was for the Chinese release of the series and may be subject to change when it arrives in Malaysia. Prices start at CNY999 (~RM588) for the Redmi Note 15, CNY1,499 (~RM882) for the Redmi Note 15 Pro, and CNY1,999 (~RM1,177) for the Redmi Note 15 Pro+.
