In addition to the new ROG Matrix RTX 5090 and the launch date of its Xbox Ally Series, ASUS also launched two new ROG OLED gaming monitors. The new monitors were unveiled at Gamescom 2025 and are built using the Tandem OLED panel technology.
The two monitors are the ROG Swift OLED PG27AQWP-W and Strix OLED XG27AQWMG. Both monitors boast a 0.03ms GTG response time, VESA DisplayHDR 500 True Black compliance, and a 99.5% DCI-P3 colour gamut.

“The 26.5-inch QHD ROG Swift OLED PG27AQWP-W monitor is the world’s fastest OLED monitor with a native 540Hz refresh rate. The PG27AQWP-W stands out with its versatile dual mode, allowing users to switch between ultrasmooth QHD@540Hz or HD@720Hz visuals. The monitor features Tandem WOLED technology for brighter, more colorful visuals and a longer OLED lifespan versus previous-gen WOLED monitors. Plus, the new TrueBlack Glossy coating offers supersharp imagery and the deepest black hues in any environment”
Additional details of the PG27AQWP-W include a DisplayPort 2.1Aa UHBR20 port, and an HDMI 2.1 port.

The 26.5-inch QHD ROG Strix OLED XG27AQWMG monitor boasts a 280Hz refresh rate, 0.03ms response time, and a new compact stand that’s 30% smaller than those found on previous 27-inch XG monitors. Like the aforementioned PG27AQWP-W, the XG27AQWMG features new Tandem OLED technology for 15% higher peak brightness, 25% wider color volume, and a 60% longer OLED lifespan compared to previous-generation WOLED monitors. VESA DisplayHDR 500 True Black compliance, 99.5% DCI-P3 gamut, true 10-bit color, and Delta E<2 color difference offer astonishing HDR performance, making this monitor perfect monitor for gaming and creative pursuits. To ensure longevity of the OLED panel, the advanced Neo Proximity sensor uses wavelength detection to accurately measure the user’s distance to the monitor and automatically switches to a black screen when the user is away.
Both the ROG OLED PG27AQWP-W and XG27AQWMG feature a tripod socket, while the latter also supports a wide variety of inputs, including DisplayPort 1.4 (DSC), and HDMI 2.1, and a USB hub.
In addition to the two Tandem OLED monitors, ASUS also introduced the second generation ROG Strix OLED XG27AQDMG. We reviewed the first generation of this monitor last year, and it impressed us.

Like its predecessor, it’s a 27-inch QHD WOLED monitor, with a 240Hz refresh rate and 0.03ms GTG response time. Like the other monitors, it has a TrueBlack Glossy coating, providing sharper visuals and deep black hues. Other specifications include VESA DisplayHDR 400 compliance, a 99% DCI-P3 colour gamut, 10-bit colour, and a Delta E<2 colour difference. Ports-wise, it comes DisplayPort 1.4, HDMI 2.1, and ample USB ports through the built in hub.
