Samsung Electronics officially launched its Micro RGB TV. The brand says that its new premium TV is the world’s first to feature a micro-scale RGB LED backlight, and built into a 115-inch display.
Specifically, the Micro RGB technology is built on Samsung’s proprietary technology of the same name, with each individually controlled red, green, and blue micro LEDs being less than 100µm in size.

“Micro RGB achieves unprecedented precision in the control of micrometer-sized RGB LEDs, raising the bar for color accuracy and contrast in consumer displays,” Taeyong Son, Executive Vice President and Head of the R&D Team of the Visual Display (VD) Business at Samsung Electronics said. “With this launch, we’re setting the standard in the large-sized, ultra-premium TV market and reinforcing our commitment to next-generation display innovation.”
The new TV is also powered by Samsung’s Micro RGB AI Engine, using AI to fully optimise both picture and sound. Other technologies attached to the Premium TV include Precision Colour, Glare Free technology, and Vision AI, the latter being powered by Generative AI, enabling the TV to make a more personalised experience for TV users.

Lastly, the Micro RGB is secured by Samsung Knox and comes with a 7-year free Tizen OS upgrade program, providing users with long-term support.
The Samsung Micro RGB made its debut in Korea and is expected to launch in the US at a later date. At the time of writing Samsung Malaysia did not provide local pricing or availability.
