Insta360 has revealed through its website that it will be unveiling a new action camera later this week. The launch teaser comes with the tagline “Be there. Be square,” accompanied by a blurred image of the device. To build anticipation, the company also released a short teaser video on its official X account and YouTube channel.
As expected, Insta360 did not provide any further details regarding the upcoming device, apart from teasing its form factor via the tagline and vague imagery. However, those who’ve been keeping up with recent leaks may already have an idea of what’s coming.

Last week, WinFuture’s Roland Quandt leaked images of what he claims to be the Insta360 Go Ultra, which aligns closely with the teaser. The device is shown with a square-shaped detachable camera unit that can magnetically attach to a larger main body, much like the brand’s existing Go cameras. The unit can also be paired with compatible accessories such as a necklace mount and clip.

As for hardware, Quandt claims that the Insta360 Go Ultra comes with a new 1/1.28-inch sensor that allows for 4K/60fps video recordings. Other rumoured features include image stabilisation, horizon lock, and an Active HDR mode.

Insta360 is slated to unveil the new action camera on 21 August 2025 at 9pm local time. The event will be streamed live via its official website and Youtube channel.
