The smartphone camera space is looking to be a bit more competitive as more and more flagships will soon adopt a 200MP main shooter. Sources claim that the main supplier for these sensors was none other than Sony.
Following the leak of the upcoming Find X9 Ultra, a recent report by Android Headlines revealed that the OPPO flagship would be sharing the same Sony-made 200MP camera sensor as the Galaxy S26 Ultra. Though the South Korean tech giant is no stranger to having a triple-digit main camera stapled to its high-end smartphones, this does give weight to the rumour that Samsung would be dropping its in-house ISOCELL sensors in favour of Sony’s.

The sensor is said to boast a 1/1.1-inch size that would improve both balance of resolution and low-light performance. However, it is unclear whether or not the Galaxy S26 Ultra will share the Find X9 Ultra’s improved telephoto sensor, “ultra-large aperture”, or its rumoured “multi-spectral camera”.
Despite these leaks and claims, the specifications for the Galaxy S26 Ultra are still being speculated on, and any camera-related updates have yet to be revealed. There is still a possibility that the Samsung handheld might hold fast to its very own camera sensor, as other sources suggest, but we may have to wait for a while before anything more credible says otherwise.
