BYD Malaysia yesterday released a teaser featuring seals and the caption “Coming Soon”. This could potentially be a hint of the arrival of its facelifted 2025 BYD Seal, which has already made its debut in Singapore back in April 2025.
To recap, the facelifted model’s release in Singapore comes in three variants: Dynamic, Premium, and Performance. Taking that into reference, there are not many changes in the design aspect, except for the new alloy wheel designs and an electrically operated roof sunshade. Another enhancement includes the 53-litre frunk compared to the 50-litre frunk that is currently available.
The Dynamic variant is equipped with a single rear-mounted motor producing 136 PS and 310 Nm of torque, paired with a 61.44 kWh battery that delivers a WLTP range of up to 460 km. Meanwhile, the Premium variant boasts a more powerful rear motor generating 313 PS and 360 Nm of torque. Its larger 82.56 kWh battery extends the WLTP range to 570 km.
On top of the line is the Performance variant, which features a dual-motor setup making the Seal an all-wheel drive (AWD) vehicle. The dual-motor setup delivers 530 PS and 670 Nm of torque. This variant shares the same battery as the Premium; however, it has a lower WLTP range of 520 km.
In terms of charging, all three models can juice up from 30% to 80% in 32 minutes using DC fast charging. The base Dynamic supports DC charging up to 110 kW and AC charging at 7 kW, allowing a full charge in around 8.6 hours. Meanwhile, both the Premium and Performance versions accept faster DC charging at up to 150 kW; however, their full 0–100% charge time via AC remains longer at approximately 15.2 hours due to their larger battery capacity.
When it comes to charging, all three variants can replenish from 30% to 80% in just 32 minutes using DC fast charging. The base Dynamic supports DC charging at up to 110 kW and AC charging at 7 kW, achieving a full charge in roughly 8.6 hours. In contrast, the Premium and Performance models accommodate faster DC charging of up to 150 kW. However, their larger battery packs mean a longer AC full-charge time of around 15.2 hours.

As mentioned above, these are the details for the BYD Seal facelift that’s launched in Singapore. That said, specifications for the local version may differ, and further information will only be available closer to the official Malaysian announcement.
