vivo has recently launched the Y400 5G in India. Although it shares similarities with the previously launched 4G model from last week, this particular variant comes with various upgrades to its internal components, giving it an additional kick.
The vivo Y400 5G comes equipped with a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a Full HD+ (1,080 x 2,400 px) resolution, 120Hz refresh rate and is capable of reaching a peak brightness of 1,800 nits. It is all neatly tied in together with an IP68/69 ingress water and dust protection.

Inside, the phone is powered by the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset, with 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage. The device features 90W charging speeds meant for its 6,000mAh Li-ion battery. Software-wise, the Y400 5G is running on vivo’s in-house operating system, the Funtouch OS 15, which is based on Android 15.
As for photography, the handheld is rocking a 32MP selfie camera at the front, while the back has a 50MP main camera with a 2MP depth sensor directly below it. Directly beside the main shooter is a standard pinstripe-like flash.
The vivo Y400 5G is available in two different colourways, Glam White and Olive Green. Pricing ranges from INR21,999 (~RM1,060) for the 128GB model to INR23,999 (~RM1,156) for the 256GB model. All the details above are based on the spec sheet from the Indian release and may be subject to change for other markets. That said, it is uncertain whether the phone will see a launch in Malaysia sometime in the near future.
