As this year’s Made By Google event draws ever closer, the company has ramped up its teaser campaign for its upcoming Pixel 10 lineup. Of course, given that we have seen plenty regarding the smartphones already, there doesn’t seem to be anything left to tease. Except the competition, of course.
Google has posted a short video advertising the Pixel 10 series. Titled “Soon”, the 30-second ad features the Pro model in the grey Moonstone colourway. In the video, a narrator addresses the viewer and tells them to just change their phone if are buying a phone for a feature that has been “coming soon” for a year.
This is a not-so-subtle jab at Apple and its promise of a “new and improved” Siri. The upgrade was first announced at WWDC 2024 and was set to debut with Apple Intelligence. However, the bitten fruit company failed to deliver on these promises. At the moment, the revamped Siri is expected to launch sometime next year.
While Apple is optimistic about the current state of Siri’s AI upgrade, the delays certainly do not make for a good look. Google did not hesitate to point this out in the Pixel 10 teaser, saying the viewer could change their definition of “soon”.

On the other hand, playful as this ad may be, it doesn’t say much about the Pixel 10 lineup on its own. Based on previous leaks, it sounds like the phones will come with some upgrades. Of course, we will only know for sure once the phones officially launch.
The Pixel 10 series will debut at the Made by Google event on 20 August. Alongside the phones, the company is expected to unveil the Pixel Watch 4.
