There have been rumours and reports that Perodua is finally launching the D66B @ Nexis/Traz by the end of this year. According to Funtastiko, the model, which closely resembles the Toyota Yaris Cross, is in the trial production phase and is expected to make its debut in December this year.
According to the reports, the Nexis will share some similarities with the Toyota Yaris Cross in terms of design. However, there will be a few changes made to help the SUV stand out in the crowd. These changes could include redesigned headlights, taillights, new bumpers, or even a different grille.
This was also pointed out by Paultan.org, which they discovered an error by ASEAN NCAP that listed the Yaris Cross as being made in Malaysia, despite the car not being sold here. This raises the question of whether the national carmaker is finally resuming production of the Nexis once its EV is launched by the end of the year.
