Half a month ago, renders of the vivo V60 made their way online. The phone was also spotted in the SIRIM database. While there are currently no new developments locally, the company has announced when it will be launching in India. Via a post on its official account on X, the company says that it’s scheduling said launch for 12 August.
Since the initial leak, the company has also gone and confirmed some of the specs of the V60. Key entries here include the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 gen 4 chipset, a battery capacity of 6,500 mAh, an IP69 rating, and Funtouch OS 15 based on Android 15. The cameras that have been confirmed are the 50MP main and 50MP telephoto pair, plus a 50MP front-facing shooter.

While the third rear camera is acknowledged as a wide-angle unit, its pixel count was not provided. Previous reports pointed at it being an 8MP camera. Then there are the other items on the spec sheet that reflect the China-exclusive S30. Whether or not that’s actually the case, vivo has elected to keep a mystery until launch.
As mentioned, the vivo V60 has been in the SIRIM database for quite awhile. On one hand, that means that it is more than likely getting a local launch. As for when exactly that’s happening, the company may only announce it after this India launch is behind us.
