DJI has officially unveiled the Osmo 360, its first entry into the 360-degree camera segment. Positioned as a flagship model, the new action camera boasts a custom-designed sensor architecture which enables for 8K video recording capabilities and high-resolution image capture.
The Osmo 360 is compact and lightweight at 183 grams. It is built for durability with an IP68 rating and can be used underwater up to 10 metres without additional housing, provided the battery and port covers are properly sealed.

The camera sports a square HDR image sensor, which is said to offer more efficient sensor utilisation compared to traditional rectangular designs. According to DJI, this design achieves 25% more usable sensor area during 360-degree capture. This sensor is paired with a fast f/1.9 lens and 2.4μm pixels, promising better dynamic range, sharper details, enhanced low-light performance, and up to 13.5 stops of dynamic range.
Under the hood, the Osmo 360 is equipped with a Type 1/1.1-inch CMOS sensor which enables it to capture panoramic stills at an impressive 120MP, as well as 30.7MP images in single-lens mode. It is also claimed to be the first 360 camera capable of recording 8K 360-degree video at 50 frames per second, with the ability to maintain 8K at 30fps for up to 100 minutes.

Beyond its 360 capabilities, the Osmo 360 doubles as a competent single-lens action camera. Users can toggle between front and rear lenses without interrupting recording, and in single-lens mode, it can record up to 5K at 60fps or 4K at 120fps with wide field-of-view options.
Feature-wise, the camera includes invisible selfie stick support, automatic horizon levelling, gesture and voice controls, intelligent autofocus tracking, and high-speed 4Kp120 video capture. It also supports 360-degree photography, with editing facilitated via a dedicated mobile app and a plugin for Adobe Premiere.
The internal battery offers 100 minutes of 8K30p video recording, which can be extended to 180 minutes using the optional Battery Extension Rod. Fast charging is also supported, with a 50% charge achievable in just 12 minutes, according to DJI.
The new Osmo 360 is now available for purchase in Malaysia through DJI’s official Shopee store. The Standard Combo is priced at RM1,879 and includes essential accessories such as a protective pouch, USB-C cable, lens protector, and battery. For those seeking a more complete kit, the RM2,369 Adventure Combo adds extras like an invisible selfie stick, quick-release adapter, multifunctional battery case and two spare batteries.
