Back in June, ASUS revealed everything about its upcoming gaming handheld, the ROG Xbox Ally X and Ally, save for pricing and availability. Luckily for the internet, reliable leaksters have seemingly managed to sniff out those little details.
According to the French portal Dealabs, ASUS plans on opening preorders for the Xbox Ally X and Ally during Gamescom 2025, which is set to kick on on 20 August. As for how much they’ll cost, an earlier leak by ASUS Spain’s site revealed that pricing will start from €599 (~RM2,933) for the non-X version, while the top-tier SKU will cost €899 (~RM4,401). By comparison to its non-Xbox counterparts, it’s certainly more expensive than the original console and just a little pricier than the X, which retailed for RM4,299 at launch in Malaysia.
As we’ve already covered the specs of the Xbox Ally Series, we’ll just go through this very quickly. On paper, the Xbox Ally X is powered by the AMD Ryzen Z2 Extreme, 24GB LPDDR5X-8000 RAM, has 1TB of PCIe 4.0 storage, Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.4, and comes with a 80Wh battery. Ports-wise, it has one USB4 port, a USB-C 32.2 Gen2 port, one UHS-II microSD card reader, and a 3.5mm audio combo jack.
Meanwhile, the non-X variant is fitted with the Ryzen Z2A APU, 16GB LPDDR5X-6400, 512GB PCIe 4.0 storage, and a smaller 60Wh battery. It shares the same I/0 layout as its more powerful sibling, except instead of USB4, both ports are only USB-C 3.2 Gen2.

Gamescom 2025 attendees will be able to get a hands on with the new consoles, as well as get to access to soon-to-be released titles such as Hollow Knight: Silksong and Sea of Thieves, all at the ASUS ROG booth.
