The HONOR Magic V5 was added onto shelves last week, which is itself a week after it was officially launched locally. Now, local telcos have added it into their inventory, incorporating it into some of their plan offerings. The good news is that, since the phone is only available in one memory and storage configuration, it’s easier to compare these plans.
Starting with Maxis, the telco is offering the HONOR Magic V5 for as low as RM135 a month. This is naturally tied to the plan with the highest monthly price, the Postpaid 199 plan, and for a longer 36-month Zerolution plan. Alternatively, you can get the 24-month plans instead, which sees phone start from RM210 a month. You can also pay for the device up front for as low as RM4,499, ranging up to RM5,299 depending on your accompanying plan.
All that being said, you don’t get the full colour options available to you. Choices of colour for the phone here are only black and gold. Unfortunately, the telco says that the latter is currently out of stock. The telco does offer “2-Year Quality Assurance” as well as 1 year of screen crack protection warranty for both the main and cover displays.
CelcomDigi, on the other hand, is offering the HONOR Magic V5 exclusively through its Easy360 program. Which means that while prices start from as low as RM126 a month, but there’s no option to pay for it up front. Beyond that, it is similarly tied to the One Ultra or One Pro plan, with a 36-month contract.
You get the same benefits as above in freebies, as well as a “casual shoulder bag” in addition. The telco does offer the phone in three colours – a brown in addition to black and gold. But the black colourway is listed as being sold out at the time of writing.
U Mobile has its HONOR Magic V5 offerings start from RM139 a month, also tied to a 36-month contract. For 24-month plans, prices start from RM224 a month instead. If you want to pay for the device up front, the telco is charging between RM4,659 and RM4,929 for it. You get the same three colour options as above as well.
Finally, Yes is offering the phone without much in terms of options. The only choice you have here for the HONOR Magic V5 is 36-month Infinite+ Ultra plan. This costs RM178 am month, but on the flip side, you do get the foldable for RM70 a month. As before, you get a choice of black, gold and brown as colour options.
