Razer has unveiled the BlackShark V3 Pro series, a new selection of wireless gaming headsets designed for esports players. This lineup consists of three models, each of which is optimised for PC, PlayStation, and Xbox respectively.
As the successor to the BlackShark V2 Pro, the headset comes with some upgrades. Among these is advanced hybrid ANC, which is achieved through a system of four microphones that can filter out ambient noise. The memory foam ear cushions and closed-back design serve to further help the wearer maintain focus.
Aside from that, the headsets feature Gen-2 TriForce 50 mm drivers with ultra-thin bio-cellulose diaphragms. Razer has also redesigned the driver plug to reduce harmonic distortion. As the BlackShark V3 Pro is designed for competitive play, it sports a HyperClear Full Band Mic. The detachable 12mm microphone features a 48kHz sampling rate and a unidirectional pickup pattern.
For connectivity, it uses Razer’s Gen-2 HyperSpeed 2.4 GHz Wireless technology, as well as Bluetooth, USB-A, and 3.5mm connections. It also supports simultaneous Bluetooth and 2.4GHz wireless audio, which allows for dual-device connectivity.
The PC version of the headset features support for THX Spatial Audio with enhanced 7.1.4 surround sound. On the other hand, the model designed for PlayStation is compatible with Tempest 3D Audio, while the Xbox variant supports Windows Sonic. In addition to this, all versions of the headset come with 12 EQ profiles tailored for popular FPS titles. Wearers can also create up to nine custom EQ profiles, which are stored directly on the headset.
Along with the BlackShark V3 Pro, Razer has also introduced two other models, the BlackShark V3 and the BlackShark V3 X HyperSpeed. The former features titanium 50mm drivers, THX Spatial Audio, a HyperClear Superwide Band Mic, and supports up to nine EQ profiles. Meanwhile, the latter is an entry-level headset with 50mm drivers, Surround Sound, and a HyperClear Cardioid Mic. Both headsets are available for PC, PlayStation, and Xbox.
All Razer BlackShark V3 models are currently available on the brand’s official website and RazerStores, and will be making their way to local retailers soon. The BlackShark V3 Pro is priced at RM1,229, while the BlackShark V3 retails for RM739. Finally, the BlackShark V3 X HyperSpeed is available for RM509. It is worth noting that the price for each model is the same regardless of whether you’re getting the PC or console variants.
